British Seagull Restoration of Old Classic Outboards

I specialise in restoring classic British Seagull outboard engines, the Best Outboard Motor for the World.

I have considerable experience in working with all four British Seagull models and I have a wide range of spare parts - some from stock and some from second hand motors.

Please contact me if you have a second-hand British Seagull outboard that you wish to sell or a Classic Outboard motor that you would like restored to its former glory.

I can also assist you in the purchase of a renovated British Seagull Outboard or I can provide hard-to-find spare parts.

About British Seagull Outboards

Seagull engines date back to 1931 and the original model, a 'Standard' Marston Seagull, that was made in Wolverhampton.

The outboard had a technologically simple motor with easy servicing with simple tools.

In 1935, the very successful 102 cc engine was introduced. The 102 was produced in huge numbers for the Second World War effort. Seagull engines continued to be manufactured with few design modifications right up to 1996. Production peaked in the 1970's with up to 80,000 units per year being made. The "classics", however, ceased production in 1978.

British Seagull Outboards have proved to be a true marine engine and one of the few motors that will last in a saltwater environment. The slogans 'Honest Engineering", ‘Everlastingly Seagull’ and ‘Simple Perfection’ say it all.
